I tried surfing for the very first time back in May - I always wanted to try it and thought i'd take to it like a duck to water (geddit!?).  I was expecting to be somewhat like Gretchen Bleiler but alas, I was rubbish!

I was in what is arguably one of the best places to surf in Byron Bay, Australia.  The waves however were so strong I could barely stand up on the ground, let alone on my board.
