Hata and Oguma Win at 2013 Real B Voice Pro Longboard TaitoTaito Beach, Isumi, Chiba(Sunday, June 9th, 2013) The final day of the 2013 Real B Voice Pro Longboard Taito pres. by Kaido wrapped up today at Taito Beach in Isumi, Chiba Japan with Japanese surfers Akemi Oguma and Yuji Hata claiming wins respectively in clean three foot (1 metre) waves.
Akemi Oguma went unmatched in the women’s Real B Voice Pro Longboard Taito. Oguma built momentum on the Final day of competition topping Yukari Asumi in the Semifinals in a low scoring affair, but went on to best Shiho Okazawa (JPN) with a 6.75 and 7.00 to take the win.
Yuji Hata worked hard to clinch the Real B Voice Pro Longboard Taito, taking on big wins over an international field. Hata overcame fellow countryman Nobuhiro Ogashira (JPN) in a tough Semifinal heat before doing battle with Frenchman Emilien Fleury (FRA) combining a series of classic longboarding maneuvers with progressive surfing in a high-scoring exchange. Hata high heat total of 16.50 to Fleury’s efforts of 15.05 proved enough for the win, however, awarding the Japanese standout with the Real B Voice Pro Longboard Title.
