Volcom Fiji Pro Round 3 On Hold Until 12pm
Kai Otton (AUS), 33, will surf against Sebastian Zietz (HAW), 25, in Heat 5 Round 3 of the Volcom Fiji Pro.
CLOUDBREAK, Tavarua/Fiji (Monday, June 10, 2013) – Round 3 of the Volcom Fiji Pro is currently on hold at Cloudbreak with event officials making the next official call at 12pm.
Stop No. 4 of 10 on the ASP World Championship Tour (WCT), the Volcom Fiji Pro has seen three consecutive lay days due to stormy winds and smaller surf and has gone on hold throughout the morning to accommodate the dropping tide.
“The new swell is continuing to fill in and we’re letting the tide to drop to improve conditions before we start competition today,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge said. “Next call’s scheduled for 12pm for a possible 12:15 start, with the Round 3 on standby.”
Up first will be Jeremy Flores (FRA), 25, against Miguel Pupo (BRA), 21, in Heat 4 Round 3 of the Volcom Fiji Pro.
