Rip Curl Pro Portugal Round 3 ON at Supertubos
Gabriel Medina (BRA), 18, will face Brett Simpson (USA), 27, in Round 3 of the Rip Curl Pro Portugal.
SUPERTUBOS, Peniche/Portugal (Monday, October 15, 2012) – Round 3 of the Rip Curl Pro Portugal, Stop No. 8 of 10 on the 2012 ASP World Championship Tour, has been called ON this morning, commencing at 11:30am in clean two-to-three foot (1 metre) waves at Supertubos.
“It’s not the classic Supertubos we’re all hoping for, but it’s clean and we’re going to make the most of what we have available,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “We’re fortunate enough to have the best surfers in the world with us on tour and their abilities in all conditions are quite impressive. Good luck to all our competitors today.”
Up first this morning will be John John Florence (HAW), 19, up against Travis Logie (ZAF), 31, in Heat 1 of Round 3 at the Rip Curl Pro Portugal.
