Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach Final Day ON in Firing Surf in the Bells Bowl
Mick Fanning (AUS), 29, former two-time ASP World Champion and past winner of the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach (2011), will look to recreate the magic today on the final day of the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach presented by Ford Ranger.
BELLS BEACH, Victoria/Australia (Sunday, April 24, 2011) – The final day of the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach presented by Ford Ranger, the second stop on the 2011 ASP World Title season, has been called on this morning with Round 5 commencing at 7am.
“We have beautiful three-to-five foot (1 – 1.5 metre) surf coming through the Bowl this morning and we’ll kick off Round 5 at 7am,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “We’re expected to run straight through Round 5, the Quarterfinals, Semis and Final today so good luck to all our potential champions.”
Up first this morning will be Owen Wright (AUS), 21, against Bede Durbidge (AUS), 28, in the opening heat of Round 5.
