Is Parko Back? ASL Answers the Question
Joel Parkinson...he's baaaaaacccckkk...
BURLEIGH HEADS, Queensland/Australia (Saturday, October 9, 2010) - Joel Parkinson (AUS), 29, 2009 ASP World Runner-Up, has been out of commission the past four events. As you’ll recall, the week before the Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay, Parkinson suffered a horrific fin chop to his back (right) foot, relegating him to the couch for the past three months. The stylish natural-footer missed Jeffreys Bay, Tahiti, Trestles and France, and he will miss Portugal and Puerto Rico. However, today was a turning point. It’s given him time to think. So far this year, the 2009 WT runner up has had to miss four events on the tour and will not be surfing in Portugal or Puerto Rico. Luckily for the surfing population, maybe not so for the blokes he’ll be surfing against, his next stop is Hawaii. “I’ve got about four…”
