Roxy Pro Gold Coast Round 2 ON at Snapper Rocks, Round 3 on Standby
      



Pauline Ado (FRA), 20, will take on Paige Hareb (NZL), 20, in Round 2 of the Roxy Pro Gold Coast presented by Land Rover.

SNAPPER ROCKS, Queensland/Australia (Saturday, March 5, 2011) – The Roxy Pro Gold Coast presented by Land Rover, the opening event of the 2011 ASP Women’s World Title season, will recommence today at 12:30pm.

With building two-to-three foot (1 metre) waves on offer at the primary venue of Snapper Rocks, event organizers will look to complete at six heats of Round 2 with Round 3 on standby for a possible start this afternoon.

“Conditions have cleaned up and we’re seeing the first signs of swell this afternoon so we’ve called Round 2 of the women’s competition on at 12:30pm,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “We’re expecting conditions to improve throughout the afternoon with the possibility of running Round 3 as well.”

Up first this morning will be Rebecca Woods (AUS), 26, battling rookie Courtney Conlogue (AUS), 18, in the opening women’s heat of Round 2.
