VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia/USA (Tuesday, August 21, 2013) - The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) 4-Star Vans Pro Junior is ON this morning in peaky one-to-two foot surf at 1st Street Jetty and will see the completion of the Round of 64 this morning.
Stop No. 4 of 5 on the 2013 ASP North America Pro Junior Series, the Vans Pro Junior’s ASP 4-Status will play a crucial role in surfers’ qualification campaigns for the ASP World Junior Tour.
Top seeds in the Vans Pro Junior include Keanu Asing (Ewa Beach, HI), 20, Taylor Clark (Carlsbad, CA), 16, Kanoa Igarashi (Huntington Beach, CA), 15, current No. 1 Jake Halstead (La Jolla, CA), 20, Ian Crane (San Clemente, CA), 20, and several international standouts.
