Maxime Huscenot (FRA) will surf in Heat 6 of the Reef Pro El Salvador Round of 24 when competition resumes.

PUNTA ROCA, La Libertad/El Salvador (Friday, July 12, 2012) – After going on hold throughout the morning, event organizers at the ASP 6-Star Reef Pro El Salvador have opted to call competition off for today, with disorganized two-to-four foot waves on offer at Punta Roca.

The Reef Pro El Salvador represents one of only three ASP 6-Star events on the 2013 men’s ASP Qualifying Series, playing a vital role in surfer’s qualification campaigns for the 2014 ASP World Championship Tour (WCT).

When Reef Pro El Salvador competition resumes Caio Ibelli (BRA), Willian Cardoso (BRA) and Carlos Munoz (CRI) will surf in the opening heat of the Round of 24.

Surfline, official forecasters for the Reef Pro El Salvador, are calling for: Shoulder-head high, best sets slightly overhead over the afternoon/evening for Saturday with wind light and variable wind in the early morning shifting to onshore S/SSE in the afternoon 5-9kts.

The Reef Pro El Salvador holds a waiting period from July 9 – 14 and is webcast LIVE via http://www.beachbyte.com/aspna/elsalvador13/
