LOWER TRESTLES, California/USA (Saturday, September 18, 2010) – Solid six foot (2 metre) surf is steamrolling through Lower Trestles this morning, providing the perfect amphitheatre to crown a Hurley Pro at Trestles champion on the final day of the waiting period.
Stop No. 6 of 10 on the ASP World Tour, the Hurley Pro at Trestles is the first event to dawn the new 36-man format while playing a vital role in this year’s heated ASP World Title Race.
“We’ve got great surf for the final day of the waiting period and we will start things off at 8am,” Richie Porta, ASP International Head Judge said. “We’re looking forward to another excellent day of surfing and should run straight through to the Finals.”
Up first this morning will be Kieren Perrow (AUS), 33, against C.J. Hobgood (USA), 31, in the opening heat of Round 5.
