RESTAURANTS, Tavarua/Fiji (Friday, June 7, 2013) - The Volcom Fiji Pro has been called back on at Restaurants this morning, with pulsing six-to-eight foot (2 metre) barrels reeling across the Fijian reef.
Event No. 4 of 10 on the ASP World Championship Tour (WCT), the Volcom Fiji Pro enjoyed an unforgettable day of perfect waves at Restaurants yesterday, completing Round 2 and the opening heats of Round 3. Event organizers returned to similar conditions this morning and plan to complete Round 3, with Round 4 on standby.
“We’re looking at pretty impressive conditions at Restaurants again today,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge said. “We saw some world-class surfing yesterday and expect to see more of the same with perfect waves out at Restaurants. We plan to complete Round 3 and will likely move in to Rounds 4 and 5. Good luck to all our competitors today.”
Up first this morning will be Jeremy Flores (FRA), 25, against Miguel Pupo (BRA), 21, in Heat 4 Round 3 of Volcom Fiji Pro competition.
