BURLEIGH HEADS, Queensland/Australia (Sunday, 22 January, 2012) – It’s Day 2 of the Billabong World Junior Championships Gold Coast and the surf has dropped slightly to 2 foot (1 meter), but there are still plenty of nice waves to be had at the Burleigh Heads rock break.
“We’re going to start with the girls Round 1,” Contest Director Luke Egan said. “There are some good waves out there so we will see how the day progresses. At this point the girls Round 2 and the boys Round 2 are both on standby and could possibly run later in the day.”
