GOLD COAST, Queensland / Australia (Monday, October 10, 2011) – Kelly Slater and Owen Wright currently sit at No. 1 and 2 on the ASP World Title Race respectively. The veteran Floridian and Aussie goofy-footer have met in the last three ASP Dream Tour event finals, a first in ASP history, with Slater taking two out of the three battles. The trifecta of Final match-ups has sparked talks of a newfound rivalry in the hunt for the ASP World Title and both Slater and Wright shared their perspective on the challenge during the Quiksilver Pro France. This… is their story…

Here’s a look into the rivalry between 10-times World Champion Kelly Slater and the 2010 Rookie of the Year, Owen Wright. With three back-to-back finals, we haven’t seen a rivalry like this since Kelly Slater vs Andy Irons.

So the question remains … will we see these two face-off in a fourth final at the Quiksilver Pro France?
