Hurley Pro at Trestles Round 1 ON in Clean Conditions at Lowers




LOWER TRESTLES, California/USA (Sunday, September 18, 2011) – The opening day of the Hurley Pro Trestles will kick off competition at 9am on the first day of the waiting period with one-to-three foot (1 metre) waves at the iconic California pointbreak of Lower Trestles.

Stop No. 7 of 11 on the ASP World Title Series, the Hurley Pro Trestles will host the world’s best surfers at one of the most high-performance waves on the planet.  

“We’ve got clean conditions on offer this morning and will be making the most of what we have available today,” Richie Porta, ASP International Head Judge said. “We’ll start Round 1 at 9am, directly following the Hurley Pro Trials.”

Up first this morning will be Joel Parkinson (AUS), 30, Jadson Andre (BRA), 21, and Travis Logie (ZAF), 32, in the opening heat of competition.
