Taj Burrow (AUS), 32, faces wildcard Dillon Perillo (USA), 20, in the opening heat of Round 2.

SOMEWHERE, Porta Del Sol/Puerto Rico  (Sunday, October 31, 2010) – Round 2 of the Rip Curl Pro Search Puerto Rico is ON this afternoon in punchy two-to-three foot (1 metre) waves at the primary venue. This comes on the heels of Round 3 of the Rip Curl Pro Search Puerto Rico, Event No. 7 of 8 on the 2010 ASP Women’s World Tour, which was called ON this morning at the primary site in Porta del Sol.

“We have fun-looking surf coming through the lineup this morning and we’ll begin Round 3 of the girls at 7am,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “We have both the men’s Round 2 and the women’s Quarterfinals on standby.”

Surfline, official forecaster for the Rip Curl Pro Puerto Rico, are calling for the surf to come down a notch or two today, but fun size surf is expected to continue as well. NW/NNW becoming N swell mixes in with the lingering trade swell Monday into Tuesday of next week. Smaller, short period trade windswell is expected for Wednesday.
