Men’s Round 1 On at Oakley ASP World Pro Junior in Bali
CANGGU, Bali/Indonesia (Sunday, October 3, 2010) - The Oakley ASP World Pro Junior, event no.1 on the ASP World Junior Tour (WJT), is on for the second day in a row, with Round 1 of the Pro Junior men’s division hitting the water at Canggu at 6.30am.
With an increase in swell overnight, Contest Director, Beau Emerton, opted to proceed with another day of competition in 4ft (1-1.5m) peaky conditions.
“We’ve got some great waves on offer today, so it was a good opportunity to get the boy’s in the water,” Emmerton said.
“The action is going to lift a notch. The guys are going to be ripping out there.”
In the first heat, Brendon Gibbens (ZAF) took on against Alex Smith (HAW) and Jack Freestone (AUS).
