Mick Fanning (AUS), 31, will take on fellow Gold Coaster Joel Parkinson (AUS), 32, in Quarterfinal No. 4 of the Volcom Fiji Pro.
CLOUDBREAK, Tavarua/Fiji (Wednesday, June 12, 2013) - The final day of the Volcom Fiji Pro has been called on this morning, with competition set to start at 9:15am local time in solid six-to-eight foot (2 metre) waves at Cloudbreak.
Stop No. 4 of 10 on the ASP World Championship Tour (WCT), the Volcom Fiji Pro saw an amazing day of action yesterday including two perfect 10-point rides and the final day of competition will guarantee a new frontrunner on the ASP World Title Race heading in to Bali.
“Still plenty of swell on offer at Cloudbreak and we’re going to get things going starting just after 9am this morning,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge said. “We plan to crown a champion today, so best of luck to the remaining competitors.”
Up first this morning will be John John Florence (HAW), 20, against Jordy Smith (ZAF), 25, in Quarterfinal No. 1 of the Volcom Fiji Pro.
