Takumi Nakamura Wins Quiksilver Pro Junior Hyuga Cup


HYUGA CITY, Miyazaki/Japan (Sunday, September 2nd, 2012) -Takumi Nakamura has won the Quiksilver Pro Junior Hyuga Cup over Arashi Kato in small but fun one-to-two foot (.5 metre) waves and sunny skies in Hyuga City.

Nakamura defeated Ryo Kodama in their Semifinals match up, beating his fellow compatriot by a score of 9.25 to 7.05 and went on to overtake Kato in a close final by a score of 12.15 to 11.75 to win the Quiksilver Pro Junior Hyuga Cup.


“Thank you everybody,” Nakamura said. “We were forced to a re start and was a very long heat. My cadets heats is coming up. I`m hungry to win both”
