TARANAKI, New Plymouth/New Zealand (Thursday, April 28, 2011) – The gale force winds that plagued the TSB Women’s Surf Festival over the last three days have finally abated leaving beautiful, clean half-to-one meter waves on offer that saw Round 2 of the Subaru Pro completed this morning at Back Beach. After a short break, the early round standouts will be back in the water with Round 3, which will recommence at 1:30pm local time.
“The surf is looking really clean and very contestable so we would like to get through as much as we can to make up for our delayed start over the last few days,” Craig Williamson Event Director said.
