WAIMEA BAY, Oahu/Hawaii (Thursday, January 20, 2011) – The Quiksilver in Memory of Eddie Aikau fueled by Monster Energy, an ASP Specialty Event, has been called off today due to the inconsistent nature of the swell filtering into the iconic big-wave location of Waimea Bay on Oahu’s North Shore.
The 2010 Quiksilver in Memory of Eddie Aikau is an invitation only event that includes surfing’s biggest names including 10-time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater (USA), defending event champion Greg Long (USA), Sunny Garcia (HAW), Shane Dorian (HAW), Michael Ho (HAW), Tom Carroll (AUS), and Cylde Aikau (HAW) amongst others.
