Subaru Pro TSB Bank Women’s Surf Festival ON at 8.15am at Back Beach
TARANAKI, New Plymouth/New Zealand (Thursday, April 28, 2011) – The gale force winds that plagued the TSB Women’s Surf Festival over the last three days have finally abated leaving beautiful, clean half-to-one meter waves on offer that will see Round 2 of the Subaru Pro underway at Back Beach at 8.15am this morning.
“The surf is looking really clean and very contestable so we would like to get through as much as we can to make up for our delayed start over the last few days,” Craig Williamson Event Director said.
The first heat in the water will see a clash of two ASP Women’s World Tour veterans when former ASP Women’s World Champion Chelsea Hedges (AUS) takes on Jessi Miley-Dyer (AUS) in heat 1.
